The Sitter Bridge is a monthly subscription babysitting service providing members with access to vetted babysitters throughout Vancouver and Portland.
HOW IT WORKS
When you become a member, you’ll be able to conveniently locate and schedule a babysitter through our online platform.
Sitters have 48 hours to respond to each booking request, and you’ll receive an email confirmation once they accept!

MEMBERSHIP TIERS
We require sessions to be at least 3 hours, or for sitters to receive payment for 3 hours if you need them for less time. Your membership operates month-to-month* with no long-term commitment.
*Your monthly cycle is based on 30 days starting from the date you join.
RUSH FEE
Sessions requested with less than 24 hours’ notice aren’t guaranteed and will incur a rush fee if filled.
$30 rush fee for Monday – Wednesday sessions
$50 rush fee for Thursday – Sunday sessions
EVERGREEN
$30/Month + Babysitters’ hourly rate
Schedule 2 sessions each month
Additional sessions can be booked for $20 per session.
TRAILBLAZER
$60/Month + Babysitters’ hourly rate
Schedule 5 sessions each month
Additional sessions can be booked for $20 per session.
MOUNTAINEER
$100/Month + Babysitters’ hourly rate
Schedule 10 sessions each month
Additional sessions can be booked for $20 per session.
BABYSITTER RATES
Families pay babysitters directly, immediately following a scheduled babysitting session. Members may compensate sitters through any convenient method—cash, check, or electronic payment, as agreed upon by the sitter. The rates listed below represent our minimum required rates. Please consider offering a higher hourly rate or providing a tip if you’re impressed with your sitter.
Our babysitters’ compensation is based on standard babysitting duties. Because of this, please don’t request that sitters perform tasks unrelated to childcare.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
CANCELLATION FEES
Sessions canceled within 48 hours will result in a cancellation fee charged to the member’s account and paid directly to the sitter.
ADDITIONAL BABYSITTER FEES
Paid directly to the sitter at session completion.
Event Babysitting (6+ Children): $28/hour*
For sessions with more than 5 children, you’ll need multiple sitters. Our maximum ratio is 5 children per sitter.
Holiday Babysitter Rates: 1.5x hourly rate
New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Valentine’s after 5 pm, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
Overtime Babysitter Rates: 1.5x hourly rate
Babysitter rates increase to 1.5x if the session extends more than 30 minutes beyond the scheduled end time.
Mileage Reimbursement: $0.76/mile
Paid to your sitter if they transport your child(ren) in their personal vehicle during your session.
Overnight Session Rates:
$150 flat rate while children are sleeping + stated hourly rate while children are awake.
Sick Children Policy:
We don’t provide care for ill children. If your child displays any symptoms, please cancel scheduled sessions until they’ve recovered. View the complete policy here.
